QR Code Types Overview

An overview of all 21 QR code types available in QR Code Maker.

We support 21 different QR code types. They fall into two categories: dynamic (editable with analytics) and static (free forever, but fixed).

Dynamic Types

Dynamic codes go through our servers, which means you can change where they point and see scan analytics. The free plan includes 1 dynamic code; paid plans include more.

Dynamic makes sense for business and marketing. You get analytics, and you can fix mistakes after printing.

Static works for personal use or one-time situations where you don't need tracking and the content won't change.

Most Common

Most of our users create Website codes (about 45%). After that: vCard Plus (~20%), PDF (~12%), Social Media (~8%), and WiFi (~6%).

If you're not sure which type to pick, start with Website. It's the most flexible—it links to anything.
