Organizing QR Codes with Folders
Keep your QR codes organized using folders.
As your QR code collection grows, folders help you stay organized. Group codes by campaign, client, location, or whatever makes sense for your workflow.
Creating Folders
From your dashboard, click + New Folder, enter a name, and create. Use descriptive names that'll make sense later—"Summer 2024 Campaign" beats "Folder 1."
Moving QR Codes
To move a QR code into a folder:
- Find the QR code in your dashboard
- Open its menu (⋮)
- Select Move to Folder
- Choose the destination
Organization Strategies
By campaign:
- Summer Sale 2024 → (all related codes)
- Holiday Campaign → (all related codes)
By location:
- New York Store → (all store codes)
- Los Angeles Store → (all store codes)
By client (for agencies):
- Client: Acme Corp → (all their codes)
- Client: Beta Inc → (all their codes)
Pick whatever structure matches how you actually think about your codes.
Searching
Use the search bar to find QR codes by name. Click a folder in the sidebar to see only its contents.
Best Practices
Start simple: Begin with a few broad folders. You can always add more structure later.
Be consistent: Pick a naming convention and stick with it across your team.
Clean up periodically: Delete test codes, archive old campaigns.
Team Considerations
Folders are shared across your team. Anyone with Editor access can move codes between folders. If you're working with others, agree on a folder structure so you don't end up with duplicates or conflicting organization.
See Team Management for more on working with teams.
Common Questions
How many folders can I have? No limit.
Can one QR code be in multiple folders? No, each code lives in one folder at a time.
What happens to the codes if I delete a folder? You'll be asked what to do with the contents—move them elsewhere or delete them.
