Cancellation Policy
How to cancel your subscription and what happens to your QR codes.
Cancelling is straightforward. Go to Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription and confirm. That's it.
No phone call. No retention team. No hidden buttons.
What Happens When You Cancel
Nothing changes immediately. You keep full access until the end of your current billing period.
When your period ends, your account reverts to the free tier:
- Your first dynamic code stays fully active
- All static codes work forever
- Additional dynamic codes keep working but can't be edited
- People scanning see no difference—nothing breaks
Your printed materials don't become worthless. Unlike most QR services, we don't break your codes when you stop paying.
Refunds
Monthly plans: No refunds for partial months, but you keep access until the period ends. Cancel anytime to prevent future charges.
Annual plans: 30-day money-back guarantee. Cancel within 30 days for a full refund. After that, you keep access until the year ends, but no prorated refunds.
To request a refund, go to Settings → Billing or email support@qrc.gs.
Before You Cancel
A few alternatives worth considering:
Need fewer codes? Downgrade to a lower plan instead of cancelling entirely.
Seasonal business? Switch to monthly billing. Pay only during months you're active.
Budget tight? Contact support—we have discounts for nonprofits, education, and hardship cases.
Not using it much? Even cancelled, the free tier gives you 1 dynamic code and unlimited static codes. You might not need to delete anything.
Coming Back Later
If you cancel and change your mind:
Settings → Billing → Resubscribe. Pick a plan, and you're back instantly.
Everything is preserved—your codes, analytics history, and settings. Just pick up where you left off.
We keep cancelled account data for 2 years. After that, inactive accounts may be purged. If you have important codes, stay on the free tier instead of fully deleting.
Account Deletion (Different from Cancelling)
Cancelling your subscription keeps your account and codes. Full deletion is something else entirely.
If you delete your account (Settings → Account → Delete Account):
- All QR codes permanently stop working
- All data is erased
- This cannot be undone
- Your printed materials become useless
Most people should cancel their subscription, not delete their account. Only delete if you genuinely want everything gone.
Questions
Can I cancel anytime? Yes. No contracts, no penalties.
Will my codes break? No. They keep working.
Can I export my data first? Yes. Settings → Export.
What if I get charged after meaning to cancel? Contact support within 48 hours and we'll refund it.
